Job Purpose
To provide analysis of qualitative & quantitative evidence through the collection & interpretation of data to gain a detailed understanding of factors affecting key activities across the Group Better buying program
Set up and establish regular activity reporting and tracking, supported with insights, analysis and recommendation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare regular commercial reporting and tracking on key activities e.g. Tenders, Raw Material costs, BB activities, M4M cogs savings…
- Provide insights, recommendations and actions through data interpretation and analysis.
- Provide management information and insights for governing bodies as required.
- Liaise with finance on BB performance and reporting, supporting the Better Buying tracker activities.
- Share best practice on reporting and analytics methods.
- Work directly with key stakeholder (Buying, Sourcing teams, Finance & Quality) in provide insight and analysis on activity.
- Lead the tracking and reporting of commodity & raw material changes and their impact on finished goods, through market data & basket analysis, highlighting the financial risks & benefits through key action and recommendations.
- Manage the category ranging evaluation process, owning the ranging model, and providing financial insights to ranging review actions and regular performance tracking .
- Manage the own brand range review model, providing financial insights and tracking of own brand ranging actions and proposals.
- Provide financial modelling of supplier financial proposals through the M4M deal sheets.
- Ensure with GDP & finance that the supplier fact packs, and commercial margin risk maintained in-line with routine financial timescales.
- Provide supplier insights through reported accounts and financial statements.
- If developed through GDP support insights from the HAC Detailed garage spend cube’
- Support the wider Better Buying program activities and project where necessary.
Key Skills/Experience
- Demonstrable commercial/finance or buying experience.
- Ability to analysis and interpret complex financial & market data.
- Good commercial awareness
- Strong analytical skills, good attention to detail
- Expertise on MS office especially Excel and other data systems - SAP
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Good cross functional working and a team player
- Results driven, enthusiastic & tenacious.
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to manage ambiguity.
- Can do attitude to issues, conviction in own judgement and decisions, responds quickly under pressure.
Please note this role requires hybrid working with at least 2 days per week operating from our Redditch Support Centre
