About the role

As one of our Marketing Executive’s you'll play a pivotal role supporting the execution of strategic activity across all marketing and digital channels, helping to create and deliver marketing plans for all motoring activity including Retail, Halfords Autocentre (HAC) and Halfords Mobile Expert (HME).

You'll build strong relationships with stakeholders from across the business and work cross-functionally to support and develop marketing activity to promote our motoring product and services business. You will work closely with both the Customer Propositions and Trading Teams to deliver on the objectives. Your role will require you to work closely with our creative agencies and insight driven teams to deliver against customer and commercial KPIs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead campaign and channel planning meetings for the Motoring Marketing Team, ensuring that channel delivery teams are clearly briefed on motoring activity.
  • Work closely with the Planning Team to ensure campaign briefs align with any relevant motoring activity and manage any promotional led campaigns.
  • Brief categories on the annual campaign and motoring promotion plan, ensuring compliance with legal marketing and price establishment rules. Manage the delivery of motoring promotions across all channels, ensuring optimum execution. 
  • Produce and communicate engaging motoring marketing plans in the appropriate format to relevant stakeholders.
  • Build strong and trusted cross-functional relationships with the range review co-ordinator, category, ops, marketing, digital, space, finance, IT, and customer solutions team to deliver aligned marketing plans.
  • Contribute to the Promo, Range and Service Reviews PIRs, continuously improving customer comms in line with customer insight.
  • Drive cost and efficiency improvements by continuously improving the end-to-end marketing process to ensure on-time and effective delivery.
  • Support the Marketing Manager with the delivery of strategic partnerships, working with the Brand, Marketing Channel, Trading and Operations teams to deliver on the colleague, B2B and marketing objectives of the partnership

 

Skills & Experience

  • Proven previous experience in marketing role.
  • Experience of effective cross functional working
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressurised environment, with experience in managing multiple projects at any one time.
  • Proactive attitude with a motivation to challenge the status quo and propose new creative ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good written communication skills. Previous brief writing experience preferable.
  • Good verbal presentation skills, with experience presenting to groups.
  • Good influencing skills with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Ability to analyse customer insight to inform decision making.
  • Ability to use Microsoft office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, word, outlook and a good level of computer literacy.
