The role
As an Estate Surveyor at Halfords, you’ll play a key role in managing and optimising a diverse property portfolio that spans more than 700 sites across the UK including retail stores, autocentres and distribution hubs. Reporting to the Group Property Portfolio Manager, you’ll take ownership of your region (covering Scotland and Northern England), handling rent reviews, lease renewals, and acquisitions that ensure our estate remains cost-efficient, compliant and strategically positioned for growth. It’s a role that offers both autonomy and variety, balancing analytical rigour with hands-on stakeholder engagement.
You’ll bring proven experience in estate management, with strong knowledge of lease negotiations, and ideally at least two years’ post-qualification experience as an MRICS Chartered Surveyor. You’re confident managing complex negotiations and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, agents and internal stakeholders. You’re a natural problem-solver, and known as a “safe pair of hands” who delivers results with professionalism and integrity.
This is an opportunity to join a well-established property team at the heart of a business that continues to grow and evolve. You’ll enjoy the balance of remote and field-based working, and you’ll work alongside experienced peers who value expertise, trust and independence. With a supportive culture and nationwide reach, this is a chance to make a meaningful impact across one of the UK’s best-known retail and service brands.
