About the role

The Graduate Digital Merchandiser will work closely with the Digital Merchandising Manager to drive the ambition and growth of the Cycling category online, supporting Halfords to become the market leader. In this role, you’ll assist with day-to-day merchandising activities and help manage the online cycling product range, ensuring every item is live with accurate images, content, copy and attribution.

You will also play a key part in optimising customer journeys to boost conversion focusing on increasing purchases, attachment rate, availability, average order value (AOV), and supporting Help & Advice content. Your work will contribute to delivering an exceptional customer experience by making it quicker and easier for customers to find and purchase cycling products online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a digital specialist within the Digital Merchandising team, supporting the online success of the Cycling category. You will help drive growth in purchases, AOV, and overall sales across Halfords.com.
  • Support the wider team in executing strategies to boost performance, increase product attachment, and deliver valuable competitor insights to key stakeholders.
  • Manage new range setup by ensuring all products are launched online with accurate, high-quality descriptions, imagery, specifications, and attribution. Collaborate closely with buying teams to maintain a competitive product range and ensure new lines go live on time.
  • Participate in regular category meetings with the buying team, Digital Merchandising Manager and Marketing to review online performance, sales results, and category targets.
  • Assist with development releases and implementation, sharing new ideas with the product team. Maintain a strong focus on optimising the customer journey and user experience, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with Marketing (including SEO teams) to ensure product pages are fully optimised for search, featuring keyword-rich content and accurate supporting information across the website.
  • Concentrate on enhancing the customer journey across all Halfords Group websites, identifying optimisation opportunities to improve user experience and digital NPS.
