About us

Halfords is on a journey - building the future of motoring and cycling and looking for people who want to help shape what comes next. We’re a place for co‑creators: people who want to make a real impact, take ownership and be part of something that’s still evolving.

As the UK’s leading retailer of motoring and cycling products, we’re supported by one of the country’s largest independent vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair networks through Halfords Autocentres. This breadth gives us a strong, stable foundation - and the freedom to keep innovating and growing.

That means real variety for our colleagues, along with the opportunity to learn, stretch and develop as the business moves forward. Whatever your role, you’ll be part of a team focused on delivering exceptional service - using your expertise to solve problems, guide customers and help keep the nation moving with confidence.

About the role

Join the Halfords for Business (B2B Sales) team as a Due Diligence and Contract Coordinator on a 12-month fixed term contract, where you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of customer contracts. This position focuses on ensuring robust processes, governance, and compliance are in place, enabling the team to operate effectively and secure new business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Tax, IT, Finance, and Sales, translating business requirements into practical solutions for the B2B function.

The role also has a strong emphasis on contract governance, audit support, and regulatory compliance, including FCA standards. You will help identify and mitigate risk, ensure adherence to governance frameworks, and support the business in maintaining high standards to avoid potential penalties. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised individual who is confident working with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of B2B contracts, including high-value, bespoke agreements and renewals
  • Own contract governance processes, ensuring all due diligence, audit, and compliance requirements are met
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (e.g. FCA) and internal policies across all contract activities
  • Act as the primary liaison for external stakeholders and customers on contract-related matters
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Tax, IT, Finance, Sales) to gather requirements and translate them into effective contract solutions
  • Lead issue resolution by identifying risks early and coordinating stakeholders to drive timely outcomes
  • Maintain oversight of the contract pipeline, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and SLAs are consistently met
  • Coordinate and support audit activities, ensuring accurate documentation, governance, and follow-up of findings
  • Drive operational efficiency by organising meetings, tracking actions, and managing documentation flow
  • Improve contract and due diligence processes by implementing streamlined workflows and practical tools
  • Represent the business in internal and external reviews, ensuring outcomes are clearly communicated and actioned

About you

  • Strong attention to detail with a structured and organised approach
  • Confident communicator with the ability to articulate complex information clearly
  • Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Strong influencing skills - able to build relationships and gain buy-in without relying on authority
  • Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and collaborate across teams
  • Exposure to contracts and due diligence activities would be advantageous, though not essential.

Reward & benefits

  • A fair and competitive salary evaluated against market data, pension, life assurance, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and enhanced family leave.
  • Commitment and dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development. We help you to own and grow your potential so you can be at your best in your current role and to support your future career aspirations.
  • We offer hybrid working in our Support Centre, you will be based at our Support Centre 3 days a week with an optional 2 days working from home.
